SPORTS FACILITIES

The Donetsk National Medical University (DNMU) sport complex is situated in the separate building and includes also an open stadium on the territory of Medical University.

The sports complex comprises:

• Specialized indoor sports hall No.1 with total area of 755 sq.m for sports studies and games in football, basketball and tennis.
• Specialized indoor sports hall No.2 with total area of 781sq.m for studies and games in volleyball, basketball and tennis.
• Sports hall for athletic games with total area of 134sq.m.
• Sports hall for students with problems in health (specialized medical groups) with area of 54 sq.m.
• Specialized sports hall for studies in aerobics and fitness.

The department of physical education and health of Donetsk National Medical University (DNMU)is placed in the building of sport complex. 21 teachers and trainers conduct studies in physical training during 5 years of student studies.

The Donetsk National Medical University (DNMU) has active sections in athletics, volleyball, football, basketball, table and grass tennis, chess, swimming, aerobics, fitness, karate and others which offer a wide range of sporting opportunities.

The Donetsk National Medical University (DNMU) football, volleyball and basketball teams regularly have competitions with other college and Universities in Donetsk and in Ukraine. Outdoors events include tournaments on different kind of sports take place in summer on the opened stadium. Indoor there are also a sauna and recreational studio.
